The Communist Party of India (Marxist) Himachal Pradesh State Committee extends its deepest condolences on the passing of Comrade Sitaram Yechury, who left on September 12, 2024, at the age of 72, after a brief illness.Comrade Yechury was a towering figure in our party and a dedicated champion of the cause of the poor and marginalized. His lifelong commitment to justice and equality made a significant impact on countless lives. His leadership and unwavering dedication have inspired generations of activists and will continue to guide us in our struggle for a fairer society.
In a condolence meeting held in Shimla. Present at the meeting were Comrade Kashmir Singh, Comrade Sanjay Chauhan, Comrade Jagat Ram, Comrade Rajender Chauhan, and hundreds of party members. Comrade Rakesh Singha, state,secretariate member, recalled the deep bond Comrade Yechury had with Himachal Pradesh. He highlighted Yechury’s invaluable contributions to shaping the struggles and movements in the state over many decades. Comrade Singha emphasized that Yechury’s vision and efforts were instrumental in advancing our cause and fostering solidarity among the working class.As we mourn the loss of a beloved leader, we reaffirm our commitment to uphold his legacy and continue the fight for justice and equality. Comrade Yechury’s life was a testament to the power of dedicated struggle, and his memory will remain a beacon of hope and inspiration for all who work towards a more just and equitable society.
